SUGARS AI and Wieson Technologies Co., Ltd. of Taiwan signed a comprehensive strategic partnership memorandum of understanding at a ceremony in Taiwan on July 28, 2026, to develop AI vision connectivity solutions that combine SUGARS AI's high-speed interface ICs with Wieson's high-speed connectors, cable assemblies, subsystem integration, and global manufacturing. The partnership targets smart vehicles, AI robotics, industrial automation, smart healthcare, and edge AI applications, where multi-camera systems and real-time inference depend on high-speed, low-latency video transmission.
SUGARS AI has closed a US$2 million investment. The funds go to completing the next-generation receiver for camera test equipment and to bringing Vision Link IC through characterization.
SUGARS AI and Samsung Electronics have begun a project under the Republic of Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT to develop an IC for semiconductor wafer test. The work extends the MIPI receive front end used in camera-module test equipment to the wafer stage, where the same interface rates apply.
